Elizabeth Smith 1806

Elizabeth Smith is worked in lovely, muted shades of green, gold, cream, and black.  The top half is filled with neat rows of alphabets, numbers, border patterns, a heartfelt verse on friendship, our stitcher’s name and the year her work was completed.  She filled the bottom with a large, overflowing urn of flowers, two small potted plants, fir trees, diamonds, hearts, and crowns.  The whole is surrounded by a solid double border enclosing flowing waves.

Stitched size: 9.5”w x 10.5”h
