Christmas 1878 Marking Sampler

Reminiscent of redwork marking samplers from the late 19^th century, this simple, hemmed piece would look very merry tacked to a cupboard door or laid across an early breadboard with some fresh greens. Stitched with Weeks Dye Works “Red Rocks” floss on their 30 count “Linen”, which I’ve aged with walnut ink.
